President, Network Operations
You own the network end to end, from the moment fiber is lit to the moment a customer is online and stays online. Engineering, the NOC/SOC, reliability, capacity, and service assurance all roll up to you. This is the senior-most network role in the company.
You build the operational organization that runs a multi-market carrier and you set the reliability bar everything else is measured against.
What you'll do:
- Own the entire network operations organization: engineering, NOC/SOC, reliability, and service assurance.
- Set and hold network reliability, availability, and E911 continuity targets across every market.
- Lead the operational scaling of the network as the build expands market to market.
- Build and lead the leadership beneath you: network engineering, GNOC/SOC, and capacity planning.
- Own incident command for major events and the post-incident discipline that follows.
- Partner with the COO on field operations and set architecture and capacity direction with engineering.
- Report network health, risk, and roadmap directly to the CEO.
What we're looking for:
- 15+ years in carrier or large-scale network operations, including senior executive leadership.
- Has run network operations for a carrier, ISP, or large network at real scale.
- Deep command of IP/MPLS, optical transport, fiber/Active Ethernet, and VoIP.
- Track record owning reliability and incident response for critical infrastructure.
- Built and led multi-team operational organizations (engineering + NOC/SOC + reliability).
- Comfortable owning a 24/7 operation and the accountability that comes with it.
- You have run a network people depend on.
